Montana is a big city which provides administrative services, pharmacies, general hospital, schools, kindergartens, bus station, train station, farmer`s market, plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, cinema, theater, police station, fire station, gas stations, service stations, big supermarkets, construction material stores, shops for electrical appliances, furniture, clothes, shoes, etc. If you go down the road in the opposite direction after about 20 km you will get to Lom – a big town located on the banks of the Danube river which provides almost the same things as Montana. Both towns have direct rail and bus links with the national capital city Sofia. The area around Lom is often visited by local fishermen and provides plenty of options for them to practice their hobby. This part of Bulgaria is mainly agricultural and the main source of income here is primarily farming which ensures that there is no pollution or factories for miles near the property - another reason for the plenty of peace and quiet around.
